Shiv Sena
Following the Election Commission's February 2023 order, this faction led by Eknath Shinde retains the original 'Shiv Sena' name and the bow-and-arrow symbol. It is part of the ruling Mahayuti in Maharashtra.
Ideology
History
Eknath Shinde led 40 Shiv Sena MLAs out of the Maha Vikas Aghadi in June 2022, joined hands with the BJP, and became Chief Minister. After the 2024 Maharashtra elections he serves as Deputy Chief Minister under Devendra Fadnavis.
Political positions
Continuation of Balasaheb Thackeray's Hindutva line, infrastructure push in Mumbai and the Konkan, welfare schemes such as Ladki Bahin Yojana, and alignment with the NDA.
